The vegetation in the Zurcher Oberland is at the beginning of April still in hibernation.
So I leave the hills and make a short trip to the river Rhine to find first signs of spring.
At least this worked in recent years ...
The Rhine with the village of Rüdlingen – but this doesn't look like spring either!

They are always present –
great historical landmarks on the Rhine

Former monastery Rheinau (early 18th century)

Wooden Rhine bridge in Rheinau (1806)
Bare trees and shrubs

The only green spots are from moss and hardy ivy –
and of course the green water of the Rhine!

Signs of the last season –
will be the beaver finish its job this year?

Take a closer look – for the first time some signs of spring!
And here they are finally – the first signs of spring!
